• Duff: I've been trying to spend some time in bed in the morning just thinking. Not doing anything, just thinking.
• Kelly: Ever have any thoughts about being a sluggard? Or making your wife some coffee?

• Madeline: Dad, can I help paint the bathroom?
• Gavin: We'll see.... We'll see...
• Duff (smiling): Gavin, are you imitating me?
• <Gavin cackles laughing>
• 10 seconds or so later...
• Gavin: Dad, I can imitate you even better than that... "No."

Non Sequitur?

• Duff: Luke, I think war is actually useful to you right now, just because it gives you a little practice with numbers.
• Luke: And it has kings in it.

When entering the room

• Duff: Hi Gabby.
• Gabrielle: Hi Duffy.

• Duff: Are the Wolfe's still here?
• Luke: No. They just goed a little while ago.

Just getting inside

• Kelly: I'm thankful to have a nice warm house on a chilly day.
• Luke: I'm thankful to get that present you're going to buy me for Christmas. You know, the dolphin thing.
• Russ: The power of suggestion.

• Keagan: I want to have 100 kids.
• Madeline: Wow. By the time you had the 100th kid, you'd be over 100 years old.
• Kelly: You'd probably be about 130.
• Keagan: Well... I'll just have a baby every Sunday.

Basketball

• While playing basketball on the driveway...
• Luke: Wow. This is fun playing soccer.
• Duff: Actually Luke, this is basketball.
• Luke: Oh.
• After the game...
• Luke: What a great game of soccer!
• Duff: Basketball.

• 5 days later after another game...
• Luke: I love playing soccer!
• Keagan: Luke! It's not soccer! It's football!
• Gavin: HAHAHA!

• Kelly: Wow kids - did you see that huge deer on the side of the road?
• Gavin: Where, where?
• Kelly: It was back there on the ground on the side of the road.
• Gavin: You should have stopped, Mom. I could go for some venison.
• Kelly: Gavin, I don't eat road kill.

• Luke: Mom! Makinley's drizzling!
• Kelly: LOL. That's so cute Luke! I think you mean drooling. :)
